You are what you eat. There are three major food component that are protein, vitamin and carbohydrate. These three components are very important that you can not lack these components. Protein is for make muscle. Fruit and vegetables giev the body esential nutrients and keep our digestive system healthy. Carbohydrate is for energy of the body and the brain. All food components are important in keeping our bodies healthy.

Protein is the first major food component. Protein helps to make muscle and protein needs to repair our muscle and skin. Meat can hold out power longer than other foods. But if you are eat too much it get fat, high cholesterol, can cause cancer. If you eat too little it lack of protein and can not make muscle and your muscle is going to become weaker and weaker. Food that high in protein is meat, been, milk and fish.

Fruit and vegetables are another major food group. Both of them contain roughage which is useful to our bodies because it helps the digestive system discharge waste after we ate. Fruit and vegetables are also high in vitamins. Fruits such as papaya, orange, and durian are high in vitamin C. Vegetables such as broccoli, morning glory, and cabbage are high in vitamin A,C, and K. If we don't eat enough fruit and vegtables, our bodies will lack vitamins. For example, if we lack vitamin we will develop scurvy. Symptoms of scurvy include internal bleeding, sore gums, pale skin, and loss of teeth.

Carbohydrate is the third major food component. Our bodies mostly burn carbohydrate for energy and our brains can't burn anything except carbohydrates. Carbohydrates also enhance our appetites. Foods such as bread, rice, wheat, and sugar are high in carbohydrate. If we eat carbohydrates too much, we will get fat. Too fat is bad for our heals. If we eat too little
of carbohydrates, our body uses muscle as an energy resource. It causes lack of muscle so if you will reduce eating carbohydrates, you must take alot of protein. But there are another problem if we don't take enough carbohydrate, brain doesn't work well because brain can only burn carbohydrates.It makes you can not concentrate well, you get tired easily and causes loss of liver function.

These three major food components are essential in keeping our bodies healthy. We should eat all of these components each day to keep our bodies strong and healthy so that our bodies can recover from wounds and fight disease. If you chose not to eat some food components, you will be undernourished or lack nutrients and your health will suffer. If you want be healthy, pay more attention to what you eat!
